NOVA Behavioral Healthcare Corporation is proud of our compliment of Professional Staff, and the level of expertise and experience that is represented. Dr. John Ford, a Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of post doctoral experience in private practice and human services management, serves as President and CEO of NOVA Behavioral Healthcare Corporation. He is also a member of the Governing Board. Dr. Ford is joined by Dr. Karlus C. Artis, Family Practice Physician with over 15 years experience in general and special populations Medicine, who serves as NOVA’s Medical Director. NOVA is also pleased to have Dr. Muthiah Sabanayagam (Dr. Saba) as a member of its Senior Clinical Staff, serving as Consulting Psychiatrist. Dr. Saba is a Diplomate in Neurology, General Psychiatry, Adolescent Psychiatry and Administrative Psychiatry. NOVA’s Leadership Council is completed by Mrs. Sue Smith, DON, Mrs. Susan Hinnant, CFO, and Ms. Carol Callahan, MSA, COO.
NOVA’s Corporate Management team is completed by Ms. Pat Jones, MSA, Program Director for Children and Adolescents Services, Ms. Joy Cox, BS/BA, Program Director for Adult Services, and Ms. Denise Stroud, MS, Social Services Director bring over 50 years of human services experience to our leadership group. NOVA’s commitment to excellence and professional supervision is further underscored by the establishment of over 20 positions in our organization that are at the Qualified Professional Level of credentialing.
Front line leadership for day to day service delivery and operations is the responsibility of the Program Management Teams. The Children and Adolescents Program Management teams are comprised of the Program Director, a Representative from Nursing, the Qualified Professionals, the Licensed Professionals, the Personnel Manager, the Education Coordinator, a representative from Day Treatment, the Authorization specialist, the Admissions Coordinator, the Facility Support Coordinator, the Records Manager and other personnel whose input and expertise may be needed. The Adults Services Program Management team is led by the Program Director and includes a Representative from Nursing, the Qualified Professionals, a representative from Day Program, the Personnel Manager, the Facility Support Coordinator, the Records Manager and other personnel whose input and expertise is needed.
